Project Overview

The project “FERIT-ZIC: Building a Sustainable Bridge Between Science and Industry” aims to strengthen FERIT-ZIC as a sustainable regional hub for innovation and technology transfer.

By connecting science and industry, the project enhances capacities for intellectual property creation, research commercialization, and diversification of revenue through research services.

Through the introduction of digital infrastructure management, standardized procedures, and new collaboration models, the project establishes the foundation for more efficient, transparent, and market-oriented research.

Objective

To strengthen FERIT-ZIC as a professionally managed research center for innovation and technology transfer, with increased capacity for intellectual property creation, technology transfer, and collaboration with industry.

Results

Digital infrastructure management system established

A functional digital system has been implemented, including a digital database of research infrastructure, booking and monitoring tools, and transparent access and pricing protocols.

Standardized processes for research and technology transfer implemented

Standard operating procedures (SOPs), a Technology Transfer and Commercialisation Handbook, and formal frameworks for managing research results and intellectual property have been developed and introduced.

Strengthened staff capacities for innovation and commercialization

Structured training programs, workshops, and mentoring activities have been implemented, enhancing staff competencies in IP management, technology transfer, innovation management, and project development.

Established collaboration mechanisms with industry and research community

Industry & Innovation events have been organized, partnership frameworks established, and new collaborations initiated with companies and research institutions at national and international levels.

Project Activities

Organizational strengthening

Development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and optimization of key processes for more efficient research and innovation management.

Infrastructure digitalization

Establishment of a digital database of research infrastructure and a system for resource management, booking, and usage monitoring.

Education and capacity building

Implementation of training sessions, workshops, and mentoring programs to strengthen competencies in innovation, IP, and project development.

Networking and partnerships

Organization of Industry & Innovation events and development of cooperation with companies and research institutions.

Promotion and visibility

Development of the project website, communication campaigns, and events aimed at increasing visibility of the project and FERIT capacities.

Project management

Coordination of activities, administrative and financial management, and monitoring of project implementation.
